Goals Having basic information that up to date on the computer hardware, operating systems, software and the use of the internet. To make basic applications for the use of software which commonly used and the internet.
Contents Introduction to computers and information processing. Hardware. Introduction to operating systems. Basic exercises for used operating system. Basic exercises for used word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software. Introduction to web design, database management, security, photograph, audio, video, CAD, programming and utility software which commonly used. Basic exercises for using internet.

1 The use of computers in computer lab. General information about computer hardware. Introducing the cases, motherboards, processors, memory, video cards, hard disks and optical drives. This weeks topics should be read from course materials.
2 Introducing the monitors, keyboards, mouses, portable drives, USB drives, printers, plotters and scanners. General information about portable computers. 3 Introducing the personal and network operating systems. The introduction of computers and the operating system used in the computer lab. Applications for use and settings desktop and Control Panel items. Main applications for managing files and folders. 4 General information about software. Introducing the office packages, programming, web design, internet browser, anti-virus, anti-spyware, photo, video, music, compression and useful assistive software.
