Compared with most European countries, education in Turkey is almost free of charge. No education fees are charged for students who continue their education within normal duration.  These fees are demanded from students who have exceeded their regular duration of instruction and from evening students in two instalments in September and February. Students whose financial condition is poor can obtain loans from the government and bursary on their demand. Applicants can get loans and bursary worth of around 105€ per month from Institution of Higher Education Credit and Hostels. Students can obtain bursaries from other institutions as well.

In addition, Bulent Ecevit University offers free meals to students whose financial condition is poor.
